Hatha yoga is one of the oldest yoga forms and many modern
physical yoga forms originate from it. “Ha” means sun and stands
for activity, while “the” means moon and stands for recovery.
Hathayoga is a soft but physical yoga where you stand a little longer in the positions than in some other yoga forms where there is a flow. You may recognize many of the yoga positions (asanas), warrior II, downward-looking dog, cobra, tree, etc. The positions are combined with breathing exercises and a class ends with relaxation.
